High.
I checked my messages today on my phone... and one was from my baby's doctor's office.
Here is the story...
Last Tuesday (19 weeks along) I did an early glucose test (only one hour long). My family has a history of diabetes and I've been dealing with low blood sugar for about 8-10 years now. It is common for women to get gestational diabetes while pregnant (then it goes away after having the baby), and each pregnancy is screened when the mother is between 24 and 28 weeks. I requested to have mine earlier...and luckily I did. The nurse told me that my blood sugar level was high - around 193. For an average person an hour after eating their blood normally levels out to 120-130 or so.... So tomorrow I am going in for the 3 hour glucose tolerance test. I'm not concerned about me, I just hope that there isn't anything wrong that will happen or has happend to our baby John.
I'll keep you guys posted.

Sick
Blah... I don't feel all that good. I need to get back into my exercise routine. I'm going to sign up for the Academy prep class at Santa Ana college. That'll help me with getting through the written, physical, and oral tests. And there's an exercise portion that will help with the physical test. So, I think Dan Sessum will sign up with me.

First Kick Felt
I got to feel our baby kick for the first time! It wasn't much more than a small little flick through the skin, but it was definatly not gas from Lindsey's bowels. It's so amazing!!

Everyone let's jump on the emotional roller coaster...
I would have to say that starting last monday, I have been severely emotional. Well not severely, but enough to ask myself while crying: "why are you crying?" HELLO PREGNANCY EMOTIONS. I really didn't get hit with all the overflow of estrogen, until now. Poor Marcos, he was leaving to go to work tonight (Sunday) and I started crying.

Giving up for the moment
Well, at least the posts are showing up, and the colors are correct and the logo is there. I'll have to work on getting that side bar on the right to behave itself. Ok, off to the gun show.

Moving the system again
Well, the comment spam was getting a little too much. I was getting about 30 spam comments a day on our old system. It was very frustrating. So, I'm moving our weblog over to Blogger, but it's published on our server so it's still at the same place.... sorta. Anyway, this will fit nicely with my
Gmail account.
